if I set a limit to 50 Tickets, and 12 Tickets are bought, and I do have 40 entries in the waitlist. The Events is marked as sold out. Is there a way to just count the tickets that are sold?
The idea behind the Waitlist add-on is to allow users to register interest on a specific ticket within the event, so if spaces become available they can be alerted and complete registration for that space.
If you have an event that has a waitlist option and then completely ignore the registration that are on the waitlist by disregarding the waitlist count when calculating the spaces available then may I ask what the waitlist registrations are for?
Did this event start with a lower number of tickets available and then updated Meaning the limit was set to a lower value previously and then increased?
I’m wondering how you have waitlist registrations if you have 50 tickets with 12 sold.
Hi Tony, this was just a example. We do not want the Waitlist Registrations automatically be moved to a complete registration. What we actually do is the following:
We create a Event which is not available to book for 1 or 2 weeks but give interested customers the possibility to sign up to the waitlist. (works fine!)
Then we open the buying process and write a batch mail to all waitlist registrants that they are now able to sign up. Some of them do, some of them not. If somebody who is not on the waitlist, wants to sign up, and people who are on the waitlist do not buy, they can’t do it because the sum of waitlist registrants + tickets sold is over the limit. Could you follow me? Sorry, maybe its not explained very well from my side.
Best,
Simon
