When the Ticket Description is entered, it inserts the text backwards |
Hi there, On testing this I can’t see any issues with the ticket description – http://take.ms/Y4DMI Is this happening for you on the front end or the admin? Can you add a screenshot that shows the problem? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots |
Please view http://adarockhampton.org.au/index.php/events/2017conf/, once you click +show details you will see under description that all text is in reverse order |
Does it look correct within the ticket editor after you have saved the ticket description? It doesn’t appear to be from CSS so it is likely something hooking the save, are you using any multi-language plugins or anything that may add support for rtl languages? |
As I type the text it is inserting in reverse – the change is immediate. I have the stadard Microsoft language installed for English-Australia, nothing else installed, no plug-ins. Odd thing is this only happens for the Description Field – whenever I type in other fields within the EE Add-in the text appears as it should |
Microsoft language?
Hmm, I’ve not seen that before. Can I take a look within the admin? If so you can send temporary login details using this form: |
You can use tempuser – send me an email address for registration password By Microsoft language I meant Language Pack installed through the standard windows setup. I doubt this to be the problem |
You can use any bogus details you prefer, then just send the login details using this form: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/
So your hosting on a windows server? Glutton for punishment? ๐ I’m assuming self-hosted then? |
No, sorry. The Language pack I mention is on my own PC. The server wouldn’t have any odd plug-ins – it isn’t a Windows server. WordPress is a default install, no language plugins |
Ok, thank you for clarifying. Just to note as I don’t know if you’ve sent them yet but we’ve not received any login details to look into this yet. |
Yes I did send the login details at same time of sending previous message – will send again |
Have just resent details |
Whilst I haven’t actually updated the event, I can add details to the fields without any problems – http://take.ms/2ZByL Another ticket – http://take.ms/uUfnMr Datetime – http://take.ms/jf4z0 Which browser are you using? |
I’m using Windows 10 Edge. All the field data enters OK. It is only the Ticket Details field that reverses the entry. Feel free to pick any ticket and type a Ticket Description to test |
OK, I just tried Internet Explorer and it didn’t insert the text in reverse. Very odd!! I’ll continue editing with Explorer. But maybe a suggestion of potential issues for the future? |
Hi there, I went through and re-typed those fields (fixed them for you). It’s really strange that the text was reversed like that when you entered it. If you try and edit the fields I fixed using a different browser or another computer do they get reversed again? |
