I just purchased and installed the Printable Ticket add-on and installed it. I did a dry run and I received the Registration Notifications, but the Ticket Notification WAS NOT sent automatically. When I sent it manually it came and the link worked. Do I need to dom something special to ensure the Ticket Notification is sent automatically? Thanks, |
Hi Markus, The ticket notification is only sent when the registration is approved, so is this a paid event? If so are you running through payment using one of the gateways? If you test this on a free ticket do you receive the ticket notice? |

Hi Tony, Yes, it is a paid event. I filled out the Registration form, submitted it and the paypal page was presented. I then closed the window and didn’t pay, but I did go into EE and Approved the transaction. At that point the system emailed the Registration Notifications, but not the Ticket notification. Should I try crating a free ticket and then testing? |
Yes, please re-testing using a free ticket. Changing the registration through the admin does not trigger the ticket notice email as it has its own trigger within the admin. |

Awesome, that worked. Thanks Tony! |

One related question though. I modified the default Ticket Notification email, but when I received it it was still the original without the copy I added. Do I need to create a custom one? If I do, how do I make sure that is the one that is sent instead of the default? Does this make sense? |

Back to the free ticket. When I click the “Print your tickets” link it takes me to the home page and not a ticket. Is that because they’re free? http://cfhsgradnight.org/?ee=ee-txn-tickets-url&token=1-c616b97538ddc00a0385265f41192e22 |
Hi Markus, Re:
After you made yours modification to the default template, when you hit save, were there any errors? If there were, your changes were not saved. Can you check the template to see if your changes are there? Re:
No, free tickets should print out just like any other tickets. Can you check to see if the registration connected to the ticket notice is still in the system and hasn’t been deleted? |

Hi Josh,
No, no errors. I just added some copy. I did create a custom ticket, but how do I make the system send it instead of the default? |
Hi Markus, once a custom message template is enabled, you can enable it by going to Event Espresso –> Events. Then locate your event in the list of events and click on it. You’ll now be viewing the event editor. Scroll down towards the end of the page and you’ll see a notifications area. Switch from the global template to the custom template for the custom message type that you are wanting to use. Then save changes to your event. Let us know if this helps. — |
