Hi – I have an event I want to go live – but Event Espresso is not fully cooperating with my particular wordpress theme. My theme allows me to remove the title block, change the colour of the title block etc. However, when adding event espresso pages, all of those customizations go away and the event page format goes to my themes original default. |
Hey Nancy! I am looking into this for you now and will respond here soon. ๐ |

September 15, 2015 at 12:41 pm Hey Nancy, I am noticing a JavaScript error on your site on the event registration page. This conflict is causing a problem with the styling of the dropdown menu in the ticket quantity selector, and appears to be coming from the theme. This is what I am seeing: Screenshot. I recommend contacting the theme developer about that error. Also, what change would you like to make to the EE pages? |
Because my theme options are not available with the Event Espresso plugin – it’s displaying my title block twice – and repeats the event in the widgets section – making it very confusing. |

I would like the Event Espresso Title to override the default theme blue blocked title and for the widget not to be repeated on the right. |
Hey Nancy, Are you wanting the title to look like this? Screenshot: https://slack-files.com/T02SY781D-F0ANNC35G-60cdad9d3a |

yes! Perfect. |
Will I be able to apply this style to all events with Event Espresso – and one tiny thing – the information is still repeating itself in the widget to the right… |
If you can’t I’ll find another way. But would like all of my event posts to look like the one you’ve shown here. Thank you for your help Jonathan. |
Hey Nancy, How is this? Screenshot: https://slack-files.com/T02SY781D-F0ANNRW2F-10a2f16b0b If I make these changes permanent the styling will apply to all Event Espresso pages. |
Am I able to modify widgets or is this an all or nothing thing? |
Jonathan can you go with the first option please – Screenshot: https://slack-files.com/T02SY781D-F0ANNC35G-60cdad9d3a |
And can you apply it to the event I have marked as private so that I can make it go live? Thanks a million! |

September 15, 2015 at 10:30 pm **** actually Jonathan – it’s way too confusing to have the widget repeating the same information. If you cannot make the widget simply show my latests posts – then please leave it blank… really wish I had more control over the look and feel of this without having to do coding… in other words, would be great if EE could work more easily with the WP template. Thank you for your help. ALSO – the featured image — it crops in the body of the event. Is there a quick way I can keep the featured image to display fully in the body as opposed to it automatically cropping? |
Hello Nancy, Sorry for the delay. It is nearly impossible for Event Espresso to be designed to fit every theme perfectly. This is just a fact when it comes to “DIY solutions” such as WordPress and it’s plugins. ๐ So, are you wanting me to remove the widgets on the right? I can make this change now as soon as you approve. |
Yes, please proceed – but make sure that the single title is in place as previously agreed to. Thanks Jonathan. |
Nancy, I emailed you about your FTP credentials. Can you please respond to my email with those credentials? |
