Hello.
I am having problems with the email sending server, in this case (Microsoft).
Description of the problem:
A high-severity alert has been triggered
User restricted from sending email
Details: User ###@###.com has been restricted from sending messages outside the organization due to potential compromised activity.
The alert is triggered when the reminder emails are sent through the Automated Upcoming Event Notifications v1.0.5.p plugin or when I send messages to groups of users registered in an event (Sending batch message).
Is there any solution for this?
Installed versions:
Automated Upcoming Event Notifications v1.0.5.p
Event Espresso 4 Core Regular v4.10.13.p (Generate and send all messages: On a separate request)
Wordpress 5.7.2
• Plugin: Esasy WP SMTP 1.4.7 (SMTP server: smtp.office365.com, Encryption Type: STARTTLS)
PHP 7.4.18
You’ll likely need to contact Microsoft/Office support for more details on this as it’s whatever rules they have set on their server.
At a guess, I’d say it’s happening because a ‘large’ batch of emails is being triggered at once and based on the error message shown they suspect the account has been compromised and is being used to send spam.
They may have an option to whitelist the emails from your account but if not you likely wont be able to send those emails through your account without triggering the error.
