Please could you help me with this bizarre problem I have with the events calendar? I need the calendar to show in the footer and/or in one of the content areas of my website.
1) I am using the espresso event calendar widget in my footer but the calendar does not display.
2) However the calendar is currently displaying in the content area 1 of my homepage, which links to the events page with a shortcode calendar in it.
3) BUT what’s really weird is that the calendar in the content area disappears if I delete the non-displaying footer widget!
Please could you help me with this? I need to have a calendar on the homepage and at the moment, it only works if I have a weird thing on the footer just saying ‘Events’ with nothing underneath it.
XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://richardwagner.co.uk/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=get_calendar_even…8800&end_date=1454302800&show_expired=0&event_category_id=&event_venue_id=. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://www.richardwagner.co.uk' is therefore not allowed access.
This means that something is blocking the WordPress admin AJAX request that the calendar uses to get the events. If you have a security plugins that’s set up to block requests to admin AJAX on the front end of the site, you’ll need to unblock those requests for the calendar and event registration to function.
