How can I add a few lines of text to the Thank You page? |
Hello, Where are you wanting to add some information? There are a couple options available. If you are wanting to add some text towards the top of the page, then you can add that text above the shortcode for the WordPress page. That is done within your WP dashboard in the pages editor when viewing the Event Espresso thank you page. Here is another way to add content within different areas of the thank you page: https://gist.github.com/lorenzocaum/6b75d8d2bd516ece27b9 — |

Hi Lorenzo! Thank you! |
Hello, Yes, that can be done and I was sharing options on how to do both. If you are not familiar with coding, then you could add some text through the WP page with the Event Espresso shortcode for the thank you page. — |

So, to be clear. I can type in the text on the line above the THANK YOU code? Will there be a way to preview the Thank You page without someone registering first so I know if it worked or not? |
Yes, although on some themes the text can appear below the shortcode output.
Add the text to the page and then preview the page as you would a standard page. The shortcode will display something like this – http://take.ms/3Mren But your text will display. To confirm the output with a registration you would need to run through a registration, apply the changes and then refresh the thank you page to view it. |

Hi Tony! I appreciate your assistance, and since last night, I am unable to load the General Settings tab to add the below text to Thank You page. Will you be able to assist? Here is the link to the admin page: Here is the text I’d like to add above the Thank You page: I look forward to giving you a memorable culinary experience! Here are a few reminders for class: For safety, please wear closed-toe, non-skid shoes. Any wine or beer you bring may be consumed with your meal, not during class; thank you for understanding:) Please bring a few containers for any leftovers. Cheers, Alice |
Hi, It will be a page in WP-admin (WP dasboard) –> Pages. Try logging into your WordPress dashboard which will be here: http://chefalicecooking.com/wp-admin/ Then go to Pages and look for the Thank you page and then click to edit it. Go ahead and add your messaging above the shortcode and then click to update the page which will save changes. — |
