Hi,
The order confirmation I get is a mix of English and Danish. Some labels are Danish and I want to change them into English, but then are triggered by a short code, so is there any chance that I can edit the conten of a short code?

Hi,

Can you link us to the order confirmation so we can see which strings you are referring to please?

Or maybe link to a screenshot that shows the strings?

Yes: http://www.ndc16.com/?ee=msg_url_trigger&snd_msgr=html&gen_msgr=html&message_type=receipt&context=purchaser&token=1-cc90f8f7fb1838dc92d3a946f144a45a&GRP_ID=1&id=26

Is it these strings? – http://take.ms/lOv6F

All of those can be edited from within the Receipt template.

If you go to Event Espresso -> Message -> Receipt. Click to edit the Purchaser template, then search for the string there – http://take.ms/BEGDk

Does that help?

No the strings I mean is “Billet”, “Beskrivelse”, “Pris”, “Deltager, “Dato/tid”.
I don’t think I can edit those from the template. Or can I?

Ah, apologies. I’m working backwards today 🙂

Yes you can still change those fields there.

All of the content for those templates can be edited from the same location, some shortcodes such as [EVENT_NAME] use the event name directly. But almost all other strings can be altered from that same page.

For example “Billet”, “Beskrivelse”, “Pris” are from the TICKET_LIST shortcode. Which is built out a little further down the page :- http://take.ms/3DKQ7

Dato/tid is also within that same section, just a couple of lines down.

So almost all of the content visible there can be altered from that template, the strings that can not be altered there are string set elsewhere within the plugin (such as Event Name) as they are used directly.

That make sense?

Then one last question: in the confirmation it says “africa/abidjan”, in the date/time section. Where to change that?

EE is using the Timezone set within your WP Settings. It looks like it is currently set to UTC rather than your local city.

Go to Dashboard -> Settings -> General.

Within those settings you’ll find ‘Timezone’.

Set that to your closest city and update the settings.

Now refresh the confirmation and it should show the correct location.

Hi Mie, that is based on the timezone that is set for your WordPress site.

Event Espresso needs your site to be set to a city or region near you to work correctly. This can be updated in the settings area of WP (WP-admin –> Settings –> General).
