On the Payment Overview after registration has been completed, where is the ‘Check’ text located? I want to change it to ‘Cheque / BACS / Invoice’ and can’t seem to find it.
I have tried to use the language mo and po files but they don’t seem to overwrite the files in the uploads folders.
Am happy enough changing the php files and making a note of where these elements reside, so if you could point me in the direction, that’d be great, thanks!

Hi Janet,
If you go to Event Espresso -> Payment Settings.
You’ll find the ‘Check/Money Order Payment Settings’.
Within there you can alter the Title. Like so http://d.pr/i/l9CQ
Output: http://d.pr/i/jOQN (I also have other gateways active currently)
Regarding ‘Invoice’ there is a separate gateway for Invoice which allows the attendee to download a PDF of the invoice and also Finalize the registration if you would like to use that.
In the same section (Event Espresso -> Payment Settings) You’ll find ‘Invoice Payment Settings’

Hi Tony, thanks! But I think it’s a different setting I’m after as I’ve already done that one and it works fine. But it’s the screen after your Output example, as below. It’s the payment overview with all the details of the customer’s booking.

Ahh, Apologies.
In that case you would be best filtering the_content() to change ‘Check’ to ‘Cheque’.
Josh came up with a function to do just that, its available here https://gist.github.com/joshfeck/8960517
Add that to your themes functions.php file, a blank plugin or create the file custom_functions.php in wp-conent/uploads/espresso/ and add that function to there.
