Hi,
We have a test site for our site. Do we need a separate licence for this site if we want to use automatic updates for the plugin?

Hi Dave,
Not necessarily. You could also update the test site by pulling the latest from Github by using the Github updater plugin.

Thanks for that. Can I install that plugin through wordpress? And will it work for the add-ons as well as the core plugin?

Installation instructions for Github Updater:

Updates will only work for add-ons where you have access to their repositories. Since the WP User Integration add-on and Events table view template add-on do not get updated very often, you might consider using the download links on your account page to download new versions for your test site.
