RTA needs help with our template, as well as adding the “agree to our terms” check box at the end of the ticket registration to our events.

Hi Alex,

What theme/template help do you need specifically? Theme/template customization is not included in the standard support license service, so we may require that you purchase customization services.

Here is a tutorial on how to add the Terms checkbox to your form: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-require-attendees-to-agree-to-a-policy-before-being-allowed-to-register/

Garth,

Is there a time we can talk over the phone about what we wish to change as far as the template goes? I recently worked with Lorezo who said we could do this. To be more specific we wish to widen the template so when a customer is registering they are only viewing the registration form not the side bar of our website. We have a template we use in word press to do this when we wish to do so, it seems like an easy things to do, so I do not think “customization” is really that necessary.

Hi Alex,
If you have a theme page template that you would like to use for the registration page, then you should be able to open up the WordPress Admin Pages dialog, open the Registration Checkout page and change the template in the dropdown, then update the page.

We need to use custom templates for individual event pages, as seen here:

http://grow.rocktheaislebridal.com/events/bridal-show/

Right now, I’m using a template named single-espresso_events.php to override the default view, but the associated template elements are not being loaded. Does this mean I have to include them manually? The documentation states they should load automatically for queries calling the EE CPTs.

I would delete the single-espresso_events from your theme folder, then use the bundled EE4 child theme, and change it so that it’s parent is your existing theme. See the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGw2jGZ9kr8

I would prefer not to use a child theme to override a plugin template. Using custom templates is possible in EE3, why not EE4?

I’ll just rip the templates from the child theme and use them in our theme. Consider the matter resolved.

I am currently finding an issue with uploading the URL to the Terms of Agreement Question I have created utilizing the video I was given to show me how to create the hyper link. The process works up until you click the link. The link leads me to a 404- Page not found page.

As you can see the link works here, but on the registration page under the test page “bridal show” it does not work.

The link is showing as
http://grow.rocktheaislebridal.com/http://www.rocktheaislebridal.com/images/RTA-Exhibitor-General-Terms.pdf”
Looks like there is an extra slash at the start of the url. This is what it shows in element inspector:

Exhibitor General Terms Policy*

is there a way for me to add this page as a redirect once a customer has filled out and purchased a ticket? http://grow.rocktheaislebridal.com/thank-you/
