Hi–I’ve inherited a website that needs a LOT of work, including many updates. I’ve put a copy of the site onto a development server while I work on it (the original one is still live). Is there a way to get a temporary license, so I can update the plugin? I promise we’ll only be using one at a time (the old one will be live until we are ready to go live, then the old one will go away and we’ll only use the new one). Thanks!
We don’t give out temporary license keys. You can always download the files from your eventespresso.com account and install the plugin through the plugin area of your site.
The license key is for auto-updates, but you can install it manually on the dev site.
We can only issue one key per personal license. It turns out though that you do not need another key in order to update. Event Espresso can be updated manually without a support license key:
