I am having to make changes to the core files in order for my changes to be recognized. What files do I need to re-direct for my CSS to be recognized in the following files:
single_page_checkout.css
registration_page_attendee_information.template.php.

I was successful in getting the following file to read from the uploads/espresso/templates directory:
ticket_selector_chart.template.php
But i don’t remember how I did it and now I can’t find the forum that i read that told me.

Please help. Thanks

Hi Candi,

Generally speaking if you’re trying to override CSS, then you would not override the template files. Instead we recommend using a separate stylesheet (a CSS file) that loads up after Event Espresso’s stylesheets load.

It can work to use a stylesheet that loads up before, but you’ll need to keep in mind that your new CSS rules will have to be more specific than the existing CSS for your custom CSS to take precedent.

One way to ensure that your custom CSS loads after the other stylesheets load is to use the Reaktiv CSS Builder plugin. It will add a CSS editor to the Appearance menu where you can add your custom CSS. Then it will place that CSS in a file that loads after your theme’s and Event Espresso’s stylesheets appear in the document.
