Dear EE, I have added an event, and must charge 20% VAT tax on top of the ticket price. But currently the tax is not showing as an ‘extra’ on top of the ticket price when customers are buying tickets.
How can I get the summary to show both the actual ticket price and the VAT when people buy a ticket via the ticket selector, the same as it is shown in the EE event backend:
Subtotal £1,750.00
VAT £350.00
Total £2,100.00 GBP
Currently the ticket selector just shows the price including tax and dows not show the breakdown.
Note that I have had to disable the ‘view details’ option via css, as it shows details I don’t want customers to see, such as the number of tickets sold!!

You don’t have to disable the entire View Details section because there’s a setting where you can disable the display of number of tickets sold in the Event Espresso > Events > Templates settings. After you change the setting, then you can unhide the view details.

OK, thanks, I’ll change that
But how can I change it so that the ticket price and the tax are shown separately and prominently, without people having to ‘view details’?

You can add the price breakdown information to the Event Description field and it will display there.
