I’ve set tax type in
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=pricing
Tax shows in event configuration
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_events&action=edit&post=3436&edit_nonce=21540d342b
(with tax value and impact on cost)
But does not show for registrant on
/events/an-introduction-to-human-movement/
or
/course-registration/?uts=1539441989#checkout
A bit further on same topic.I did figure out how to get taxes to show, but:
We need to allow admin to select which tax is to apply to an event
Tax A is to apply to Event 1
Tax B is to apply to Event 2
This is because taxes are different for different regions. Don’t see how to allow admin to select which of the taxes set in
/wp-admin/admin.php?page=pricing&action=price_types&price_types_nonce=4d979cc8af&return=tax_settings
are to be applied to a particular course. This due to different taxes in different course locations.
If the only way to do so is by adding a price modifier on each ticket, that is not super convenient, but will serve. Am I missing a way to set taxes globally to be selected per event?
You’ve actually found all the tax settings, as the tax application features are limited to setting the same tax amounts for every event. You’ll note that within the event there is a simple checkbox that can be checked to make that ticket taxable.
The only other way to set up different tax amounts for different locations would be to use WordPress Multisite, where each site on the network is used for a specific tax region. That way you could use the tax application feature for different regions.
