My EE is freezing and there’s no reaction what so ever when trying to:
1) add Event Datetimes
2) make adjustments through the wheel-button
Also the calendar that usually comes up when choosing Event Start – Event End and also Sales Start – Sell until is gone.
Generally, that means there is a JavaScript error being thrown, usually from another plugin that shouldn’t really be loading on the event editor (but loads everywhere).
If you on up Chrome Dev Tools (or similar) on the event editor and look in the ‘console’ section, do you see any errors?
WP5.5 introduced a change which causes problems for a lot of plugins which then started throwing JavaScript errors. Once an error has been thrown on the page no other JS can run meaning other plugins then break EE’s editor (EE itself hasn’t had any issues with update).
The quickest way to tell if that is the issue is to install this plugin:
Just to be clear, this is not likely something ‘we’ need to fix up. The notice you’re getting won’t be causing the above errors, something else on the site will be throwing a JS error causing EE’s editor to stop.
If this was an EE issue in itself everyone would be reporting the same issue.
Disable the migration plugin I mentioned and open the event editor, if you open dev tools on that page and look in the console is there an error?
If you have another browser let me know which one you are using and I’ll tell you how to open dev tools in that, or, if you prefer for me to take a quick look and see if I can grab the error I’ll happily do that but will need temp login credentials.
