I need to suppress all the event admin emails that Event activities send. The messages for purchasers and registrants still need to go out but I don’t want anything to go to the event admin email. Do I open each default event admin email template and switch the admin email template to inactive? We’re getting those notifications even though there’s no shortcode in the TO field.

You need to disable them eithier by clicking the toggle switch to be disabled, or setting the TO field to be empty.

If the TO field is empty EE doesn’t know where to send those emails so I’m not sure how you are getting them if that’s the case.
Are you using the Default/Global templates or custom?
