Hi,

I am posting this because the form to request support via token requires a support forum URL.

Please help with the following:

1. display multiple datetimes on a proprietary (not EE generated) event registration page where I have placed and EE event shortcode.
2. allow registrants to choose which dates they want to register for
3. have completed dates disappear from the choices. ( not absolutely necessary, but would be nice. )

The test event is Sangam-Sangata 2014 with ID 1784

The event registration page with the shortcode already in place is: http://jayakula.org/teachings/tantrik-sadhana-studies/

As you can see, I have set up two datetimes for this on-going teaching. However, the different datetimes do not show up on the event registration page.

Hi there,

I can help with the first item. Can you let me know if you’d like the datetime list to display before the ticket selector or after it?

With the second item, I can advise creating a ticket option for each datetime. Each datetime can have a regular and low income option. Does that help?

Hi Josh – I think that if a separate ticket option is going to be set up for each datetime, then the datetime should display before the ticket selector, if I’m understanding you correctly.

So it would look like:

Event name 1 date time
ticket selector

Event name 2 date time
ticket selector

Right?

Can you set up the test event I referenced so that items 1 & 2 in my request are implemented?

Also – I read in the article “How to Use Datetime and Ticket Names to Consolidate Event Pages” that:
If you would like to remove/hide the ticket options that are sold out or expired, you can use a little custom CSS in your theme:
.ticket-sales-expired, .ticket-sales-sold-out { display: none; }

Will this work for us since we are only using the shortcodes and not the EE generated event pages?

Also – I am wondering what the option on the righthand column to use an alternate event page URL would accomplish? Would this mean we could use our own URLs/ existing event page URLs to deliver a standardized EE event page? Is this a redirect, in essence?

THanks for your help!

So it would look like:
Event name 1 date time
ticket selector
Event name 2 date time
ticket selector
Right?

It would actually still be one ticket selector box with all the datetimes available as selections. Maybe what I should do is set these up and then you’ll know what it will look like.

Will this work for us since we are only using the shortcodes and not the EE generated event pages?

Yes, that should still work.

Also – I am wondering what the option on the righthand column to use an alternate event page URL would accomplish? Would this mean we could use our own URLs/ existing event page URLs to deliver a standardized EE event page? Is this a redirect, in essence?

That’s more for displaying the event in the calendar or an event list and when someone clicks on it, it takes them to whatever URL you set there instead. So for example if you have an event where people RSVP on Facebook, they could go there instead of to a standard event page.

Looks like I went over the 30 minutes. I just finished with writing a little plugin and installed it on your site that adds the date time list just before the ticket selector shortcode output.

Hi Josh – I’m not at home right now. I’ll check everything out in a bit. How much time do you have left on a second token?

Hi Josh – this looks fine. Thanks for your speedy help!!

Do I need to purchase a second token since you went over time? And if so, is there time left on the second token?

Hi there,

If you need additional work done on your site that requires additional priority support, you can buy addition tokens.
