To whom it may concern;

Received the following message in plugin updates:

A new version of Event Espresso is available. View What’s New with version 3.1.37.7.P. A valid Support License Key is needed to enable automatic upgrades. The key you have entered is invalid or has expired. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys or purchase a support license right now.

*** My license is up to date, the key code I have is correct. Why is this plugin not updating?

Very frustrating!

Hi Anthony,

I checked your account page, and there isn’t a domain connected to your support license key. There might be something set up on your server that’s blocking the communication between ee.com and your site.

You can also manually update the plugin if you’re so inclined.

Hi Josh,

Another question You mentioned “there isn’t a domain connected to your support license key”. Where in our account do we reference our domain name and correspond it with the license we have purchased? I cant find this anywhere on EE.com site.

Hi Anthony,

Here is how to manually update:

Download the latest version of your Event Espresso 3 software from your account:

Now login to your WordPress admin and go to Plugins. Locate Event Espresso in the list of plugins and deactivate it and remove it (delete the plugin).

Then from the Plugins screen in the WordPress admin click on Add New –> Upload. Then browse to the zip file that you downloaded from your account. Select it and begin the upload process.

You can activate Event Espresso after it has finished.

Afterwards, go to your account settings area of your account page and copy your support license key:

https://eventespresso.com/users/gtahockeyclub#account-settings

Then return to your WordPress dashboard and go to Event Espresso –> General Settings. Then scroll down towards the bottom of the page and look for the Support license key field. Paste your support license key in that area and then save changes.
