Hi there, I have had my support license reset probably 4-5 times by various people at Event Espresso even though I have only moved my license once. I have as of yet been able to enjoy WP admin panel updates. I have read & followed all instructions to the letter and still it won’t save my license key in the admin panel and thus updates must remain manual. I would appreciate support for this beyond I’ll reset your key or the charging 1$ feature to get your license reset. I haven’t even been able to register my license on my site once yet. The license registers perfect on the EE website though. I’m using EE4 Thanks, Joseph |
Hi Joseph, I am very sorry for the trouble you are having. May I log into your site to have a look? If so, please send me WP Admin credentials through the form on this page: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ To prevent delays in troubleshooting, be sure to double check your information on the form before submitting. |

Hi Jonathan, I have used the firm to send you admin access and verified the signin credentials. Thanks for your help. Joseph |
Hi Joseph, Two things: 1) This is a WordPress multisite install so updates will only be available on the primary site. 2) The current install appears incomplete as there are icons that are missing in the WP dashboard. Try deactivating and removing Event Espresso 4 via WordPress plugins. Then download a new copy and re-install through WordPress plugins. *This process will not remove any existing events. It only removes and replaces the plugin folder. If you need to manually install (e.g. your site doesn’t allow uploads through the WP dashboard), then please unzip and then upload the folder here using your preferred SFTP or FTP client (e.g. Cyberduck, FileZilla, etc): /wp-content/plugins The folder name should be event-espresso-core-reg. — |

Hi Lorenzo, 1. re:WordPress multisite yes I am aware of that and the primary site is where I am attempting to input the support license. 2. I recently did that just before my two recent support tickets. Perhaps the download or upload didn’t complete properly. I do it again and let you know about the icons. However admin updates have never worked for me even in version 4.6.12.p so this issue is not just about a faulty upgrade. Thanks, Joseph |
Hi, There could be a connection issue or perhaps another plugin is interfering but I could not verify as I could see that the installation was incomplete. Did you icons come back after the manual re-install? — |
|
|
Hi Lorenzo, Yes icons came back. Still no luck getting the license to save though. any ideas what can be done. it;s such a pain updating manually with all the updates you guys do. Joseph |
Hi Jos, The support license key appears to disappear on saving. Is this the primary site on the WP Multisite environment? — |
|
|
Hi Lorenzo, Yes absolutely is the primary site! Joseph |
Hi Jos, Can you try to rule out any plugin conflicts? Deactivate all non Event Espresso plugins and test to see if the issue is still occurring. If it is not, then we know it is a problem with another plugin. You can then find out which plugin it is by reactivating each plugin individually and testing to see if the problem starts happening after the activation. When it occurs after activating a plugin, then we know this is the culprit.s |
