“support license expires” message never goes away in spite of you receiving our payment and in spite of me clicking Dismiss 100’s of times. In a possibly related problem, I can no longer update Event Espresso. I get a notice that an update is available but when I click update now I get “Update failed: The plugin is at the latest version.”

Hi Danny,

How are you today?

I’m not exactly sure what’s happening. I can reset your license key if you’d like. What version is your site on now, 5.0.3?

Same problem after license key reset.
Details:
Currently: Event Espresso 4, release 5.0.0.p
Version 5.0.3.p available.
Update failed: The plugin is at the latest version.

BTW: STILL getting message: “our Event Espresso support license expires within 30 days.” We PAID our license renewal.
Also, FYI: while Danny is the Executive Director, I (Keith) I am the support resource.

Hi Danny,

We identified a bug which affects updates on some servers in version 5.0.0-5.0.2 and applied a fix in version 5.0.3

Hwever, to get to that version you’ll need to manually update on this occasion as it looks like your server is effected by this.

Go to your account page.

Download version 5.0.3 from there and save the .zip file to your machine.

Then on the site, go to Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload plugin.

Select the .zip you just downloaded.

WordPress will tell you it already exists and ask if you want to replace it, confirm ts the same plugin just the version number changes and click to replace.

Now you’ll have the latest version and one-click updates should work again moving forward.

With that version installed, does the above notice dismiss when clicked?

Side note, whilst I understand the notice itself will be annoying (we’ll get it fixed) it does not alter how Event Espresso functions so everything else will work as it should.

I’m going to reset your license key now anyway just to clear any flags on your account (if any) but please do let me know if the notice will not dismiss.

Manual install completed, the support notice has now disappeared. Thank you very much.
