Support key with temporary staging site

I’m re-theming and updating an existing EE3 site. In my copied staged site I get this message:

Your support license key is only valid for one domain at a time, and our licensing system has detected that you are using your license key on multiple domains. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys.

Can this be safely ignored until the stage site goes live at which time it will be back to the domain the license key is linked to?

Hi William,

The best approach to this is you remove the key from the staging site. The staging site will function the same with or without the key.
