Hi,

My support key is invalid even though the account states that it is “Not currently activated on any websites” and “Expires: May 04, 2016”.

A second issue is with the ticket system: the barcode’s generate_for=short_code does not work; it is generating long_code by default.

Please assist.

Thank you.

Hi there,

I have added a new support license to your account and removed the previous one.

Please go to Event Espresso -> General Settings.

Remove the current key and save the settings.

Then go to your account page copy the new license key (be sure to use the key not ending with _FREE) and paste that into the license field.

Check for whitespace before/after and hit save.

Does the key now work?

A second issue is with the ticket system: the barcode’s generate_for=short_code does not work; it is generating long_code by default.

Are you using the latest version of both Event Espresso 4 (4.7.10.p) and the Ticketing Add-on (1.0.3.p)?

Hi,

The previous support key is now working. I have not tested the new one.
Using the old one, I just updated event espresso and all plugins to the latest version. The bar code is now working (uses short_code).

Should I use the new support key instead?

I would also like to ask about the barcodes. Using a proper barcode reader, I can scan the barcodes normally. But using a handphone app to scan the barcodes, it will not detect at all. If you know something about that, do let me know.

Thank you for the assistance!

The previous key has been removed from your account (when the new one was added) it will either no longer show when an update is available, or display a notice when the next update is available stating the key is invalid. So I would recommend using the new key.

Remove the key key and save the settings with a blank field, then add the new key and save the setting once again.

I would also like to ask about the barcodes. Using a proper barcode reader, I can scan the barcodes normally. But using a handphone app to scan the barcodes, it will not detect at all. If you know something about that, do let me know.

Can you post up the full barcode shortcode you are using blease?

Hi,

I have removed the previous key and added the new key without any problems.

The barcode shortcode is as follows:
[BARCODE_* w=1 h=100 fsize=18 bgcolor=#ffffff color=#000000 output_type=bmp]

Can you let us know the name of the app you’re using to scan so we can investigate?

Hi,

The apps are Bakodo and Scan, both iOS apps.

Hi there,

I loaded up Bakodo and it looks like it has trouble scanning the bmp output type. You can change it to use svg. I tested using Bakodo to scan the svg barcodes and it was able to scan those.
