Hi there,

It looks like you already have this set up with some custom development, is there an issue you are running into?

Actually, my mistake.

That’s the event planner pro plugin, they look similar and have the same URL parameters which make sense as the developer of that plugin originally worked on Event Espresso.

EE3 doesn’t have the same kind of set up as the event linked above, you can create an event with multiple ticket types and select each of those etc, but it will not work in the same way as above with the datetime selector and payment method on the same page.

Hi

I have switched back to ee4 and the link (example) I sent you was a renewed version of my summer camp from 2019. (events planner)

It’s just to show you what I need to be able to do in events espresso 4.

The plugin i used for the past few years is Events Planner and the developer is taking a break and not updating his plugin and has stopped support.

Can I do something like that in EE4?

It doesn’t have to be exactly the same in look and I don’t have to use a calendar.

Most important is the ability to register for multiple weeks, or multiple campers and weeks with a question form for each camper. There needs to be a difference between the attendee 1 and the main registrant.

To be able to add on lunch, before care and aftercare without it affecting the number of attendees.

No questions required for these additional add ons

A list of my summer camp

1 week of camp $385, 9am -3pm

June 22-26
June 29-July 3
July 6-10
July 13-17
July 20-24
July 27-31
August 3-7
August 10-14
August 17-21
August 24-28

Add ons (NON ATTANDESS NO QUESTION FIELDS)
Lunch $7
Before care $50/week 8am-9am
After care $100/week

Hi

This is how I have set it up in ee4 at the moment based on the setup tutorials

https://artworksclasses.com/bethesda-introductory-class-test-page/?preview_id=13031&preview_nonce=643e6897c1&preview=true

Problems:

1-Lunch has a time associated with it.
2-Lunch and extended day are both requiring question forms. I only need a form for the camp day per student.
3- Attendee 1 and the main registrant should not be the same person. All our registrations are a parent registering for their children. Therefore when asking questions, we should be able to differentiate that.

Currently, within EE4 you can’t have specific ticket types that require questions and others that do not so right now either all tickets will require questions or only the primary registrant’s ticket.

As it stands would need additional ticket types that collect all of the add-ons and the user selects the correct type, although looking at your set up thats not going to be user-friendly.

You would need something like:

June 22-26 ticket
June 22-26 + lunch ticket
June 22-26 + Before care
June 22-26 + After care
June 22-26 + lunch ticket + After care
June 22-26 + lunch ticket + Before care

Etc etc to cover all combinations then repeat for each date… so that is not going to work well for you.

The other option to include add-ons is using a 3rd party add-on called the Price Modifier add-on which basically adds ‘values’ to questions within the registration form. So your user would select X number of tickets for a date and then on the registration form click say a checkbox for lunch which would add the lunch value to the transaction.

We don’t have that available with our add-ons but it is available here:

http://aparnascodex.com/downloads/price-modifier-for-event-espresso-4/

Will that work for you?

Hi

If what I am to understand what I am reading , yes it would work. Before buying another plugin. Some questions

How does your discounts and coupon codes work?

I would need coupon code type discounts and also i would like to discounts to be applied when sdomeone buys more than 1 week of camp.

Will thuis work with that plugin? Discount should only apply to camp week. Not add ons (lunch, before care and extended day)

How does your discounts and coupon codes work?

You can apply a discount to your event using either a promotion code or automatically (although not conditionally).

You set promotions to be available on the event as a whole (not specific tickets within an event) and can have a percentage discount or a fixed dollar discount.

I would need coupon code type discounts and also i would like to discounts to be applied when sdomeone buys more than 1 week of camp.

Assuming your dates are all within a single event this isn’t something we have available without an additional ticket.

You can apply a discount code to the event, but without custom development, you can’t conditionally apply that to the cart (for example if they purchased X number of tickets).

Will thuis work with that plugin? Discount should only apply to camp week. Not add ons (lunch, before care and extended day)

The Price Modifier plugin doesn’t have ‘add-ons’ that you select like tickets, they are questions on the registration form which adds values. So yes the add-on should work with the ‘event add-ons’ you are looking set up as the discount from a promotion would apply to the event as a whole.

I don’t have access to that add-on as it’s not from Event Espresso but if you contact the author they may have a demo site available to view how it works which may help.
