I have had a few times that the text on the Submit Promotion Code button doesn’t stick. The text then changes to “Submit”. This happened after after updating EE a few times. Today the only things that were done was clean out some registrations, create new events and edit user capabilities (in a 3rd party plugin).
When the button text has changed to “Submit”, in PROMOTIONS>SETTINGS>PROMOTION BANNERS the option “Ribbon Banner” is selected. When I re-select “Plain Text” in the dropdrown the button changes back to “Submit Promotion Code”. I never change this manually, I know how this sounds take it from me that I really don’t.
How can I make sure the text sticks? Or, what triggers this change so I can keep that in mind?
Can you let me know the full version number of EE4 you are using please?
We have seen this previously and have an open ticket to prevent it from happening. Currently when it happens you should be able to just save the promotion settings without changing the dropdown mentioned above.
I just wanted to confirm that you were using the latest version of EE4. We are working on a fix for this and I will add this thread to the ticket so that any updates will also be posted here.
We found a fix and the fix is included in the latest releases of Event Espresso 4 core and the Promotions add-on. You can update to Event Espresso 4.9.2 and/or Promotions 1.0.7 to get the fix.
