I have just added the Stripe payment plugin.

Sagepay was working fine bit I became a bit panicky about the securing of hosting the payment on our site, so switched to stripe.

But now as I try to get to the payment page it says –

This registration step could not be completed. Please refresh the page and try again.

Any ideas?

I have the latest versions of everything.

Cheers,

James

Hi James,

I’m seeing the following during registration checkout:

Could you double-check with your web host that your web server is using TLS 1.2?

Hey dude,

Thanks for the prompt reply.

Had it all checked out today and everything is stacking up from our end.

If you search for this event – Midlands – 1st4sport Combined Level 2 Qualification

And try to purchase it, you hit that issue every time.

It worked fine with Sagepay like I said, it’s just that the security of that worried me.

Cheers,

James

Does your site have it set to wp-admin is forced to load as https?

Would that be set with the hosts Josh?

I’ve just tested it now and it seems to be forcing that.

Could that be causing the problem?

Cheers,

James

It would not necessarily be set with the host, but if you’re logging into the wp-admin and it’s automatically https that should be fine.

There’s also this warning in the console that should be addressed with your host:

This site makes use of a SHA-1 Certificate; it’s recommended you use certificates with signature algorithms that use hash functions stronger than SHA-1.

You can also check the PHP error logs from the time the error message generated that says the registration step could not be completed. When that error is displayed, that means there’s an error happening behind the scenes and you can find that error by checking the error logs.
