Hi, Since last September the e-mail notifications of a payment received by stripe changed from having the subject:
“Payment of €__.___ (from _____@____.com)”
to
“Payment of €__.___ (from Name Surname)”

I’ve also checked in the back-end of Stripe and it seems that before that the “owner” info of the credit card sent by EE was the e-mail address of the registrant, but after that it’s the Name and Surname.

Did that change in some previous updates of EE? (we also use WPSimplePay Pro for other things and that seems to be able to send two different info to Stripe, both “owner” with a name but also “owner email” – does EE do the same or just sends one and it was at some point changed from e-mail to name?

(We could benefit a lot in terms of saving time from having the e-mail info back into Stripe and in their notification, as it was before)

Thanks!

Hi,

You can change this in the Event Espresso > Payment Methods > Stripe settings. You’ll set “Collect the user’s billing address?” to Yes. Then click the Update Settings button.

Also, and this is optional, you can append the email address to the end of the Stripe order description. This involves adding some custom PHP code to your site:

You can add the above to a functions plugin.
