I just had a quick question for verification sake. We are using the Stripe Payment Gateway and I see if an admin adds a payment on the backend, it only records the payment but doesn’t process it. I was wandering if this still was the case? and if so, I am assuming I would have to process it through my Stripe account directly?
When an admin adds a payment via the backend, they can record the method of payment. When using the backend you’ll note there are no credit card number input fields. You do not necessarily need to process the payment through the Stripe account directly though, you can also process the payment via the integration on the front end of the website. i.e. You click on the receipt icon in the Registrations list table, then click on the make a payment link.
Yes I do realize the ability to do it through the front-end, we are just having some payment processing issues that are occurring when we do it from there, so we have set up a work around right now where we get the registration info emailed to us and we create it in the back-end, which is why I was wandering about how it would work in the back-end.
The payment processing issues can be troubleshot. Have you tried processing a payment on the front end with all other plugins deactivated along with the the default WordPress theme active?
Yes we have.. It isn’t the stripe gateway itself that is causing the problems. We finally received the Stripe credentials from the client so we will just for the time being report it on the back-end and then update the payment to stripe directly. Thanks for all the help.
