Hi,

Have been in heavy discussions with them since June. Finally, found someone that showed me how to select Export to .csv – options. Problem is that they cannot be saved to override the default settings. We really need to have the export show the customer_name or card_name in the metatags. Issue is this can only be done after the payment has been listed as successful and on one payment at a time.

The office accounts person cannot deal with this each time she goes in to export a report and update her book. The name does show up on the dashboard but NOT in the export.

Stripe’s latest suggestion to me:

It is possible to add metadata manually from the payment details page, under the Metadata area. If you want to include it automatically, then your integration needs to be updated and since Event Espresso built their integration with Stripe, they’ll be best able to help you with this directly.

Therefore: HELP…
The office is making me crazy – I had them wait until the site went live, and we were officially on EE4 and it was working.

Thank you!

Wrote back to see if I could update the API myself this was their answer:

No, it’s not possible via API as our Report runs API [0] templates/results [1] are also the ones you can find in your Reports tab [2]. Also, if you are using a third-party integration, they’re the ones who has control or should manage the API. If in-case you do have access to update Event Espresso integration / API, the easiest way to include a customer name is to add a name field in your form (if none) and copy the value to the payments metadata [3]. The meta-tags or metadata, can be added automatically but this is only possible if your integration includes the parameter and has a script to copy/input the customer name to it.

2. What we also REALLY NEED as long as this is back in your hands – is for your Registration number to show up instead of the Stripe gobbledegook id number so that we could match the Registration number when exporting their .csv.

THANK YOU!

Hi there,

Which report are you referring to here?

The above posts seem to only give us half the information, I’ll break down why a little:

Finally, found someone that showed me how to select Export to .csv – options.

What are you exporting, where?
I’m assuming it is from your Stripe account but which section?

Problem is that they cannot be saved to override the default settings.

What cannot be saved?

We really need to have the export show the customer_name or card_name in the metatags.

We don’t create customs with out integration, Stripe may well do, but we don’t explicitly create them so don’t access them.

Issue is this can only be done after the payment has been listed as successful and on one payment at a time.

Can you show an example of this? A screenshot of the section you a viewing for example? (You can blurr any personal info if needed)

Wrote back to see if I could update the API myself this was their answer:

There’s a filter that can be used to add meta data to the payment call, but the ‘registrant’ isn’t always going to the ‘payee’.

2. What we also REALLY NEED as long as this is back in your hands – is for your Registration number to show up instead of the Stripe gobbledegook id number so that we could match the Registration number when exporting their .csv.

Which Registration number?

Each individual registration has a unique ID so in a group of say 5 thats 5 unique registration id’s, I’m assuming you want the Primary Registrants?

Note that any changes made here would apply to payments made after that change was included, not te current payments within Stripe.
