I have users singing multiple people up for an event. Also have users who sign in to WordPress to get the member discount and then register employees. When they do this Event Expresso changes their WordPress User info.

Would like to avoid this.

Did a topic on this a month ago and exchanged posts, but I don’t think I ever got thru what the issue was.

Hi Brad, our support forums are public so I’ve removed your contact information.

If this is via the front-end (single event page), then the information for the primary attendee/registrant is synced and will be overwritten. There is a note that mentions this during registration checkout.

We have a few members that have asked about a do not sync option so I’ll add feedback to that feature request.

Thanks

Lorenzo

It is in the front end.

Would be nice if the message that shows up now, would give people the option to not override the contact info.

I have lots of users who own or manage companies and register one or more students for classes. The company is eligible for a member price and we use the WPUser addon to force them to login to get the discount. It frustrates the owner manager when this results in a change to their Word Press user info.

They often also end up registering themselves for the class when because they signed in and then registered the student.

Did not have this problem in version 3 – because the user data was not synced. There was one database for your event data and another for Word Press user data.

Perhaps the answer is to leave it alone, but sell an addin to “unsync” that can be installed when a site owner wants it.

Let me know when you are ready to address the issue – Be happy to work with you on it.

Hi Brad,

Thanks for your feedback.

While nothing is set in stone for this, it is probable that we will make an option to disable it rather than an addon for it.

There is a ticket in place and it has been pushed up in priority for a developer to review, so hopefully we can have something a little more user friendly in the near future.

Hi Brad,

The latest update to the WP User Integration add-on includes a new option so you can turn off the sync to profile.
