Hello Tony,
I know I’m working another ticket right now, but thought I should start a new one for this issue.
On the Registration Form, the “State” drop down makes people select the state below Texas to get Texas to show up in the field.
Any ideas?

What I would do is test an event with only Event Espresso activated, you can do that using the WP Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin:

Create a database backup just to be safe.
Install that plugin and go to Tools -> Site Health -> Troubleshooting.
Enable troubleshooting mode.
That will de-activate all plugins and switch you to a default theme if your not already using one (but only for you, the logged in admin).
In the admin bar at the top go to Troubleshooting modern -> Manage Active plugins.
Enabled just Event Espresso.
Retest the above.

I did as instructed and it is still selecting Tennessee instead of Texas.

I am also having an issue with my custom ticket. I’m replacing an image in the editor and it is keeping my old image. I believe I have the right custom ticket because it shows that it is associated with my 6 events. I will start another support ticket for this problem. I just wanted to let you know, so if you need to get into the backend, you can handle the other problem at the same time.

Can we also confirm if you did test this issue with different theme? May I know, if in any case, you install any custom code for EventEspresso?
Do you have experience turning Debuggin on? you can do that by add the following line to the wp-config. php file: define(‘WP_DEBUG’, true);
You should have access to FTP or file manager to do this.

I will have to pick this support back up after the event. My registration is almost closed and a lot of people will be registering today and tomorrow. I can’t swap themes right now.

By the way, I used the wp debugging plugin. It’s way easier that getting into the wp.config.php file.

Hi Laura,
Just to note, I recall fixing this previously and I think its from the theme adding its own overlay to the dropdowns. The dropdown on your registration page isn’t ‘standard’ for Event Espresso and IIRC we basically just disabled that function within your theme to fix this.
We can troubleshoot this more but sounds like we’ll need to do that after the event now.
