I’mu sing the latest version of Event Espresso 3.1.36.1.P and I see some strange behavior: 1) Start and End time is missing from the event description Thank you, Jake |

I can provide login credentials for the website if there is a way to post a private reply to this thread. The website URL is http://d37toastmasters.org/ The event in question is: https://d37toastmasters.org/event-registration/?ee=84 Thank you, Jake |

Hi Jake, We don’t have a private reply system on the forums for security reasons. Currently we don’t need site access. Can you check that the event has times entered? If not they will not show. Registration dates are required and cannot be omitted, otherwise the event will show as closed – this is expected behaviour. |

Hi Dean, Yes, the times are entered: http://d37toastmasters.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/ee-12-11-2013.png Registration dates…. this event does not require registration form. Do I need to force registration dates/times even though there is no form nothing to register for anything? Just trying to clarify this. Thank you, Jake |
|
Do you have “display registration form” set to “No” in the event editor? |
|
Thank you, making change to registration_page_display.php did the trick. How do I protect this customization from the future Event Espresso updates to make sure this is not lost next time registration_page_display.php is updated. Thanks again, Jake |
|
Hi Jake, Copy the registration_page.php and the registration_page_display.php to the wp-content/uploads/templates directory. This will stop updates from over writing those files. However, updates may modify the default templates so after an update you may still need to tweak the files in the uploads section. |

Hi Dean, Would it be possible to fix this bug? I can’t imagine why someone would want to hide start and end time for the events that do not use the registration form. Thank you, Jake |
Hi Jake, It turns out that this is not a bug. Some folks use this feature to display information about ongoing events. |

Thanks Dean. Would it make sense to make a similar settings to Event Espresso – Calendar 2.1? You can set to show or hide the event time in calendar, why not to do the same for the event description? Jake |
|
Hi Jake, It is a good idea, however we do try to limit the number of options available (otherwise there would be thousands). I will certainly add it to our feature request list. |
|
Thanks Dean. |
