I implemented Square Payment Method about 3 weeks ago. About 120 events have processed successfully, but it has gone into an error status one time each week. The error message on the Event Espresso Payments Method page reads “There was an error while doing the authentication health check” “One or more authentication parameters are missing”. Please re-authorize (Connect) for the Square payments method to function properly.”
When I look at the Payment Details of the failed transactions, the Gateway Response says “No or incorrect card nonce provided. Card nonce is required to process the transaction.”
To correct the problem, I have disconnected and re-connected the Square Payment method. Is this a known issue? How can I fix this so that it does not fail each week?

Hi there,
Your site is currently using an older version of the Square payment method (v1.0.1.p) and we added some additional code in the latest version to firstly try and prevent the above from happening and also add a bunch of additional logging so that if it does continue to happen we can see why.
We’ve had a handful of reports of this but can’t reproduce the issue and without being able to reproduce it we can’t fix it, unfortunately.
Can you please update to v1.0.2.p of th Square payment method and see if the issue happens again? If so, post up on the forums and we can take a look over your payment logs to see if anything show up there to give an indication of what is happening.
