September 15, 2020 at 12:56 pm Hi, This gateway accepts payments, but sometime generate emails notifications such as payment received or registration complete; so many times doesn’t at all, and when I check the message activities, I find like a flare nut icon, once I click the icon it will show the details to be sent. |

Hi |

Hi there, I’m assuming you mean this: https://wpgateways.com/products/square-gateway-event-espresso/ Is that correct? — Payment methods in Event Espresso take over control of the process and the messages triggering rely on the payment method calling them. This likely means you’ll need to contact WP Gateways and have them investigate this further as it’s not one of our payment methods. However, if you can add the screenshots here I’ll take a look: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/troubleshooting-checklist/#screenshots |
Yes it’s correct, And here’s the screenshot link: https://doctorsfirstaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Screen-Shot-2020-09-15-at-2.11.48-PM.png |

OK, add this plugin to the site: https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/ Then go to Tools -> Cron Events Search for
I have seen error reports: https://doctorsfirstaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Screen-Shot-2020-09-15-at-7.08.05-PM.png |
There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron events on your site may not work. The problem was: |
Ok, so this isn’t actually an issue with the gateway, or even EE, its an issue with WP_Cron on your site. Go to Tools -> Site Health. Do you see any ‘Critical issues’ listed there? |
Yes Have some issues: https://doctorsfirstaid.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Screen-Shot-2020-09-16-at-4.26.53-PM.png |

September 17, 2020 at 11:49 am OK, so that’s the reason your messages aren’t sending the loopback requests failing. What has changed on your site recently? I can see that the emails have been sending prior to now so have you installed any additional plugins or made changes server-side? If you check your servers error logs can you see any error being thrown at the same as check site health above? |
September 17, 2020 at 11:49 am Also, the messages shown in your screenshot above are they still waiting to generate? |
Yes the messages are still waiting to generate, the only new add-on was the Square Up Gateway. |
I logged in cPanel of my server, and checked the last 300 errors, Nothing found at all!!! You think this could be due the host server? should I change the host? Thanks for all your help. |
Square Up Gateway support replied back stating that the plugin has nothing to Dao rather accepting money then informing EE to generate the notifications. |

Ok, then temporarily disable that plugin on the site and check site health again to see if the errors above are then removed.
It’s too early to say yet, who is your host?
Yeah, that’s what I said above. The payment method controls the payment process and tells EE to trigger messages, if thay does happen you don’t get messages. However your issue is the loop back request failing which is what works messages through the queue. |

Hostgator, Shared Baby Cloud Plan. |

Which errors? EE isn’t throwing an error, the messages aren’t working because WP_Cron isn’t working on your site. Basically the jobs that run the message queue aren’t firing because WP_Cron isn’t calling them. I can take a look at your site and see if anything stands out if preferred? Note we generally required a support token to work directly on the site but I can take a quick look and see if there’s anything obviously if you send login details using this form: |

Submitted, Thanks so much for your kind help! |
I’ve just had some time to log in and take a look but your site does not have any messages sitting waiting in the queue, did you fix this yourself? Loopback requests are still failing on your site intermittently that will be why your messages are sometimes sitting in the queue and then working at other times. |
Thanks for your time! I did nothing, didn’t fix anything, that drives me nuts! I just had some chat with Hostgator live support, but they mentioned that my website works fine from their end! |
I don’t have any experience with Clean Talk Anti spam plug-in so I can’t say. I will say, that it is generally better to stick with a single ‘security’/spam/etc plugin rather the multiple as they can conflict with each other. |
Thank you so much for all your support and time! |
You’re most welcome and the same to you. If you have any further questions just let us know. |
