Original Thread – https://eventespresso.com/topic/registration-checkout-not-working/

Mine did pretty much the same – last successful registration on the 14th at 9:14PM PDT.

Was told of reg issue on the 15th, turned off reCAPTCHA which had been a problem before white listing.

Now we seem to be stuck in an endless loop that returns to the “attendee_information” / registration checkout page.

All page status and shortcodes are ok, checkout and registration pages updated with no editing (as per instructions) and we’re still no go.

EE new update installed today.

Event is in a few days – please, please, please, help us resolve this!!

Hi Gabriella,

I’ve split your post into its own thread as its easier to troubleshoot individual sites that way.

Previously did your registration checkout page just display the [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT] shortcode?

Are you running any caching plugins?

Does our host run any server site caching?

My registration checkout page previously and still only shows [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT].

Yes, I am running caching plugins, all of the shortcodes have been white listed.

There is no server level caching.

Thanks!

The offending party was Ultimate Social Media Icons.

Note to self – do NOT add anything to the site during an active registration.

Hi Gabriella,

Thanks for letting us know.

I would suggest creating a development server (eg.dev.yoursite.com or locally on your computer) and copy over your site and use that to test out new plugins/changes. It’s a bunch of work up front, but can save you headaches further down the road.

I use DesktopServer for most of my local development servers (they have a free option) https://serverpress.com/

Hi Gabriella,

Thank you for letting us know you’ve fixed this.

I did a quick test using that plugin on one of my test sites and didn’t see any issues, however it may depend on the specific settings in use within the plugin.

Is everything now working as expected or do you need help with something else?
