I am also having this issue. I use current EE3 and have updated WordPress and all plugins. Now I can not create any new events, I get this error:

Error message

There was an error in your submission. The event was not saved! Please try again.
WordPress database error: []

Hi, this looks like a different issue than your other support post but I suspect that the cause for both issues is the same since the event editor is affected.

Could you reply to your other support post with more information on the changes for yesterday?

I’ll go ahead and close this one up for now.

This is a bug exposed by the WordPress 4.2.1 security fix that was released yesterday. You should be able to input an event name that’s 60 characters or less. If it’s more, the event will not save. We’re working on adding a few fixes for this to EE3 and will have a release update ready soon.
