Should these be separated by commas:

To: [SITE_ADMIN_EMAIL],[ESPRESSO_ADMIN_EMAIL],[EVENT_AUTHOR_FORMATTED_EMAIL]

Trying to do a test to make sure they work. So far they are not.

Which email does it use by default? Very confusing?

Hello Dorian,

I’ve split your support post reply from the original support post.

If you see an existing support post that sounds like your issue or question, then please create your own support post and then include a link to the support post that you saw. This will help us prevent confusion when multiple members are posting.

The default will vary between different messages but typically emails are sent from the your organization email shortcode ([CO_FORMATTED_EMAIL]). This is set in Event Espresso –> General Settings in the Your organization area.

In your example, you may be attempting to send a notification to the your organization email twice and then the event admin (event organizer) that created this specific event.

Here are the steps to troubleshoot this:

1) Go to Event Espresso –> Messages. You’ll now be viewing the messages queue. Are any of them appearing with a red status which means failed?

2) If so, go to Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Your organization and double-check that a valid email is setup for the primary contact email field for the organization

3) Go to the email notification that isn’t working and click on the appropriate recipient. For example, if the event admin (event organizer) is not receiving an email, then go to Event Espresso –> Messages –> Default Messages Templates –> Registration Approved –> Event Admin.

4) Look at the FROM field. There should be a single shortcode there.

5) Look at the TO field. That by default is set to the event author shortcode. Note that the event author is also considered the event admin or the person that has created the event. Update this field as needed and then save changes

6) In the top right area of the messages editor, you’ll see a test option to send an email. Enter an email address there and click send.

At the top of the screen, you’ll see a notification on if this was successful or not. You can then check your email to see if it was received.

If is doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, then double-check a spam or junk mail folder.
