In general we require users to be a member in order to register for events, however, we need an exception. We would like to be able to provide a direct URL or access to an event that only individuals with that URL (or other means) can register without first being logged in as a member; yet still requiring all others without that link to be logged in to register.

Is there a plugin, setting, code, or combined solution that we can use to provide this exception? If there was a shortcode for an event’s registration form, then we might be able use that but that doesn’t appear to exist.

Hi there,

EE doesn’t have any functionality within core (or add-ons) that will allow you to skip steps of the checkout process using a special URL so to do that you’d need custom development.

Would a separate event not work for these users? You could set up an event that does not require a login and then set a password on that event to prevent regular visitors from registering onto it, you then provide the URL and password for that event to the users you want to register onto it.
