Hello,
I would like to sort the default events page by date, and I don’t see an option for that in the events template page. I’m talking about the XXX.com/events/ page. I see how I can modify the order of information displayed, but not the SORT of the events themselves. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,
The page should already be sorted by date, specifically the start date for each event. Is that not what’s happening on your site?

Hi,
Thanks for the quick reply. I’m trying to get it to sort in reverse order with the newest events available on top, and the older events on the bottom. Is that possible?

It’s possible to change to a sort in reverse, but I’m not 100% sure what you’re asking for because a new event and sorting in reverse order could mean two different things.
Are you looking to put the newest published events first (where an event that was published today, regardless of its start date would display before other events)?
Or, are you looking to simply reverse the order where the first displayed event’s start date is the farthest out into the future.

You can set the newest published events to show first by adding the code from this snippet:

You can add the above to a functions plugin or into your WordPress child theme’s functions.php file.
