Hi,

I’ve read the topics I could find and wasn’t able to fix the issue.

We just installed the Roles and Permissions Add-On (Pro) and created a set of Event Managers. They are receiving the “Sorry, you do not have permission to edit this event” error when trying to access an event. Any event. Even those they have created.

I read that we need to assign them as “Master Event Admins”? But I can’t find that setting.

Here are a couple screenshots showing our settings. Please assist.

Hi Ben, the Master Event Admin is a user role. Could you try adjusting the user account for one of the users and set it to this role?

Lorenzo,

There is no option for this role. It doesn’t exist. See below.

Hi,

Is this site on a WP multisite install?

Hi Ben,

Could you deactivate the add-on from the network activation and activate in on this individual site (the subsite)?

b/c of the way the MS is setup that’s actually very difficult to do. Is there another solution?

What’s strange is I found the Master Admin user on the main site and set the users to that but I can’t on the sub site.

Solved it.

I manually created the role espresso_event_admin on the sub site and assigned it the same permissions as it’s sister role on the main site and it’s working. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

For those wondering, here’s how you setup the espresso_event_admin role:
