I’m seeing an issues since upgrading to WordPress 5.5. SiteHealth says: An active PHP session was detected.
I’ve found that it seems to be related to Event Espresso as it goes away when I disable EE entirely. I’ve got the following EE plugins

Event Espresso: version: 4.10.6.p, author: Event Espresso,
Event Espresso – Attendee Mover (EE4.9.13+): version: 1.0.5.p, author: Event Espresso,
Event Espresso – Calendar (EE 4.3+): version: 3.2.13.p, author: Event Espresso,
Event Espresso – Events Table View Template (EE 4.4.9+): version: 1.3.9.p, author: Event Espresso,
Event Espresso – MailChimp (EE4.4.5+): version: 2.4.5.p, author: Event Espresso,
Event Espresso – MER – Multi Event Registration (EE 4.7.0+): version: 2.0.18.p, author: Event Espresso,
Event Espresso – Promotions (EE 4.9.10+): version: 1.0.15.p, author: Event Espresso,
Event Espresso – Social Sharing (EE4.4.4+): version: 1.0.p, author: Event Espresso,

Anyone else seen this issue?

Hi there,

WordPress 5.5 added a check for sessions in site health which shows the above and EE has used sessions from the beginning, so essentially the only thing that has changed is there is now a notice in site health about them.

I’ve opened a ticket to discuss this further and see what we can do to prevent that notice but I’m assuming you’ve not run into any issues so far? (I haven’t).

Hi, Nothing is malfunctioning at the moment, just wanted to know how to address it. =)

Yeah as mentioned, the session code within EE has been in place for a very long time it’s just that WordPress now throws a notice about sessions.

We should be able to prevent that notice from being thrown and if you aren’t running into any issues it won’t cause you any problems as it stands.

Hi there,

Just noting that the latest version of Event Espresso (4.10.7.p) fixes the above notice.
