I am not much of a web guy, but have inherited a church website that was set-up with Event Espresso on it. In trying to clean-up that site, I have noticed that Event Espresso has not been updated in quite some time. The site license key showing on our Event Espresso account page matches the site license key in our WordPress site, but there is no updating taking place. Please advise how to correct this issue for this fumbling non-web guy. Thank you.

As an additional fact, the following note is found at the top of our WordPress Dashboard: You have the correct Site License Key for Espresso Json Api but your current membership access only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now.

I assume this has something to do with the fact our site was originally built on one domain and then moved to another when deployed. We only need it working on the one domain of impact.cc. Perhaps there is a simple setting change in WordPress that is needed, but I don’t know what it is.

Hi there,

I have reset your license key. Please remove the key from the field in your Event Espresso General Settings, save the blank field, then reenter the key and save again. Then you should see the updates available in the Plugins area.

Let me know if you have anymore issues. I’m here to help.

Same problem, but different error message now: There is an automatic update for Espresso Json Api available but your Site License Key is invalid. Either you have entered the wrong key on the Event Espresso General Settings page (EE3+ users) or Your Organization Settings page (EE4+ users) OR you no longer have access to the updates for this plugin. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now.

I may have spoken too soon. I tried it without the space before it and it appears to be working. I will try to update now and advise. Thank you.

That appears to have done it. Thank you.
