I’ve got a special version of single-espresso_event.php in my child theme, but I need another template that I can assign to a special category of events (I need to hide the date on these). But I’m not sure how to get it to show up in the Template dropdown on the Edit Event page. I see some template in there but the new one I created isn’t showing. Do I have to initialize it in the functions file or something? I tried searching the forum, but was not able to get an answer…
Thanks!

Hi Shelly,

Would it not work to just hide the dates using CSS for that specific category?

Creating a template is possible but you’ll need to select that on each event, whereas if you are setting them to a specific category you can just use some CSS to apply to all events in the category by default.

Would that work?

If so, link me to an event you want to remove the dates from and let me know what the category is, I should be able to give you an example of this from that.
