Where is this generated from [SINGLEEVENT single_event_id=”2015-economic-outlook-summit-1-55a6aa94d89c5″]. When I update the event the page does not show the updates, but if I select view the event shows correctly. |
Hello, On your feedback:
…if you view the actual event page, then it appears correctly but it does not if you manually browse to that page? Are you running any caching services on your site? — |
No Caching services. I rarely use Firefox and never use IE and neither of them are displaying the correct information. |
Hi there, The SINGLEEVENT shortcode uses registration_page.php template to output the details which is the same details used for the standard EE registration path. So it should always be up to date with any changes made within the event. Can you link us to the page so we can view this please? It could be that event espresso is being used to generate event ‘posts’ and that is displaying the information for you rather than the standard output. If you edit the event and go to the bottom of the event editor you’ll see a ‘Create a post’ section, do you normally set the ‘Add/Update post for this event?’ option to Yes when you create an event? |

http://quantum.esu.edu/advancement/ The information should say 2016 and the dates were updated as well. I am thinking that this content was developed somewhere else. |
http://quantum.esu.edu/advancement/ Is linking to the event with ID = 2, which would be this event: http://quantum.esu.edu/advancement/?page_id=347&ee=2 You want to display this event: http://quantum.esu.edu/advancement/?page_id=347&ee=4 Is that correct? If so open up the above link whilst logged in and look for the ‘Edit Event’ Your now editing the 2016 event. CLick the ‘shortcode’ button and you’ll see a popup like this – http://take.ms/E1QXX Copy that shortcode and place it on your /advancement/ page to display that event. Does it work then? |
When I select shortcode button, I get this [SINGLEEVENT single_event_id=”2015-economic-outlook-summit-1-55a6aa94d89c5″] |
Hmm, strange. Can I take a look? If so you can send temporary login details using this form: |

Hi there, I looked over your events and found your latest event that I linked to above, this one: http://quantum.esu.edu/advancement/?page_id=347&ee=4 (You can also find that event within Event Espresso -> Event Overview) When you click on the shortcode button for that event it shows:
It looks like that event was duplicated from one of your previous events which is why the event identifier shows 2015. I have placed that shortcode in place of the other on: http://quantum.esu.edu/advancement/ Does that page now show the correct information? You’ll notice I left the previous shortcode in place wrapped within [], you can remove that if the page is now correct. |
Yes, the correct event is not showing. Anyway to remove the word “Description:” from the page. It did not display before. |
Sorry the correct event is now showing. |
Hello, You can add this line of CSS to your site to remove the Description messaging: .event_description p.section-title { display: none;} If your theme has a custom CSS area, then that can be used. Otherwise, a free plugin like Simple Custom CSS or Reaktiv CSS Builder will work. — |
neither of the plugins were able to remove “Description:” based on your CSS. |
Never mind, I installed the plugin in the wrong website Duh. Everything is fine. |
Great, I’m glad your up and running. I’ll mark this thread resolved. |
