Hello, How would you recommend approaching the following scenario? We will have many training classes that are offered to multiple co-ops. Each co-op may have many employees that need to be registered for a class. As it looks now, EE4 will allow multiple attendees, but it’s going to treat the person registering all the attendees as an attendee as well. Is there a way for a single person acting as a manager to register with his/her registration info (name, address, email, etc) and add attendees to the registration form, without the manager being treated as an attendee? For example, I’m a manager at a co-op and need to register 5 employees for a training course. I need to pay for 5 registrations but need to input my info as the person who signed everyone up. How can I pay for the 5 attendees, but not 6? Thanks for any direction you may be able to give. Josh |
Hi Josh, You could create a manager ticket with a price of 0. Then create a new paid ticket (for other registrants). Next, enable the question groups that you need for the Primary Registrant and Additional Registrants. From there, you can make other edits to the event and save changes. When you purchase the tickets, select the manager ticket and then select additional paid tickets as needed. — |

Thanks for the quick response! That sounds easy enough. I sent a separate question through your contact form earlier today. Maybe you coudl help me so that I can go ahead and get the updated version before the weekend. Here was my question.. Hello, I purchased a developer license over a year ago and the client never moved forward with the project. They now want to move forward and I see that version 4 has more features. I need to update my version and wanted to make sure v4 will be good for us and also ask about the license. If I originally purchased the developer license, will I get a developer license for the same price upgrade? Thanks! Josh |
Hi Josh, If you purchase Event Espresso 3, then you’ll receive EE4 as well. Keep in mind that the calendar addon is the only addon currently available for EE4. There are other addons in the works such as MailChimp and a promotions system but I wanted to ensure you were aware of that. The other addons are not so if you need those, then I would go with Event Espresso 3. Did you send your question through as pre-sales? — |

Ok. I’m being told by someone else there that once the license expires, I’m no longer able to update at a discount. Is this correct and has it always been like this? That would be very unfortunate to have paid full price and never taken the project live and now pay full price again. But if that’s the policy, then so be it. |
