Hi,

I am using [ESPRESSO_EVENTS category_slug=xxxxxxxxxx] to show the events in our divi theme. I also see the attendees benieth the events. This is not what we want. What can I adjust so the “Showing Attendees” will not been seen on the upcoming events page?

thanks in advance,
Marco Gorissen

Hi Marco,

Normally attendees are not listed with the events, but maybe you have the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS_ATTENDEES] shortcode placed within the event’s description?

If that’s the case, you can exclude the event’s description from the list by going to Event Espresso > Events > Templates, then set the “Display Description” option to None or Excerpt.

Hi Josh,

Unfortunately this doesn’t work. “Display Description” is set to Excerpt but we still see the attendees. Even if “Display Description” is set to no.
Visit this page for a view: https://libraryontwikkel.maastrichtuniversity.nl/information-skills/workshops-courses/endnote-advanced/.

Thanks,
Marco

Hi there,

The reason you see the event attendees with ESPRESSO_EVENTS is because you (or someone else on the team) added the shortcode to the ESPRESSO_EVENTS call (look like it was added to content-espresso_events-shortcode.php), see your previous thread here:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/calling-espresso_event_attendees-event_idx-from-within-espresso_events/

Sounds like you need to remove whatever modification was made in the above?
