I’m using Event Espresso to manage a book festival. The festival lasts for 3 days with multiple parallel sessions. The best way I can find to display the sessions is add a category for each day then display that category on a page.
e.g. http://vachildrensbookfestival.com/thursday-october-13th/ is all the events on Thursday. The problem is this does not show the presenters and that’s pretty important to selling the session, people are looking for those more than the session titles. Is there anyway to add a column for the presenters? I have added our presenters using the People Admin plug-in and set up category for our presenters called “Author/Illustrator”. I’m using EE4.
(I wish I could select just a few days in the calendar view. For a short term festival displaying the whole month is not a good solution.)
You can add the people (author/illustrator) to the events table view template by creating a custom template. That will ensure that your customization is not lost on a software update.
Thank you so much, this was very helpful and I was able to get things set up the way I want.
