Searching the page Event Espresso – Registrations on the admin I see that the student that I transferred from one OSHA class to another OSHA class is indeed marked as canceled for the class I wanted to remove them from: But when I click the event title to view the registrants for that event, the student is still there, and it counts their payment there, too: Confusingly, the payment is also shown on the event to which the person was transferred. So – now there’s two payments and not one – one payment for each event, yet the original is canceled. Is this the intended function of the addon? |
Yes that intended, the attendee mover add-on sets the original registrations as cancelled and creates a new registration for your selected event, it then assigns that new registration to the original transaction.
Are you sure there are 2 payments, the screenshot you added shows the total amount paid from the transaction. Click on the registration, then click the ‘view transaction’ button from there. Do you only see a single payment that applies to the transaction for the correct amount? |

Say that I am looking at the registrations page for two events and the URLS are: ../admin.php?page=espresso_registrations&event_id=1 And say Registrant One registered for event ID#1 but then I used people mover to move the registration to event ID#2… When I view the “Viewing registrations for the event:” page for event ID#1 (../admin.php?page=espresso_registrations&event_id=1) would be $0 – because their registration is canceled, thus they would not have paid for that event anymore. When I view the “Viewing registrations for the event:” page for event ID#2 (../admin.php?page=espresso_registrations&event_id=2) would contain a value ($300 – or however much the event cost) – because their registration is active for that event. My problem is that on ../admin.php?page=espresso_registrations&event_id=1, I am still seeing a value ($300 – or however much the event cost), even though the user is no longer registered for that class. |
Those values are from the transaction because both the original and new registration are assigned to the same transaction, the payment amount does not apply to the ‘Original’ event but the new event. The original registration is left in place and cancelled to give a record of where the attendee is from and what has happened. |

Great. Tangentially related question. I suppose this is a “confirm my rightness or explain my wrongness” type of question. Based on my review of the docs:
|
Yes, all of the above is correct. However, the single payment will be marked as an overpayment (not the specific amount ‘remaining’). You can then issue a refund for the difference between the two both within your payment provided, and then apply that refund within the EE Transaction to keep a record (EE does NOT initiate refunds through your proiver for you). |
