Shortcodes dont work

I just installed event espresso, and the shortcodes do not work at all. When I try to enter my license, it says I do not have sufficient priviliges to access the page.

Hi Jan,

Which shortcodes are you trying? Can you post a link to a page that has a shortcode so we can investigate?

With the license key, are you logged in as a WordPress Administrator when you try to access the Event Espresso > General Settings page?
