Shortcode to hide events a week prior to their start date

We have events that don’t necessarily need to close registration a week prior to their start date, but definitely don’t need to be displayed in the sidebar of upcoming events. I assume this is a limitation of the widget, but perhaps there is shortcode that I can use to achieve this?

Hi Jason, there isn’t current a shortcode or a widget option that will let you hide upcoming events from a certain date range.
